Shit on the hand that feeds you Teil Drei

"It all started with agriculture. It is calculated that before the dawning of agriculture, when men were nomadic, they dedicated to labour, hunting and harvest aproximately 10% of the time we dedicate nowadays.

Let's now make an ellipsis from such significant moment to the 21st century, when work is more and more scarce everyday. We live in a democracy, at least here, by now. But democracy ends when you cross the revolving door of your office, simple as that. Inside the office it rules a totalitarian regime where any kind of disfunctional being with a thought system in version 1.0 can become your boss and destroy your life in a million different ways, without even trying too hard. The office is the most sophisticated torture instrument created by mankind. Neither justice nor the organization of human rights can do anything for you. In this place you will be confined for a minimum of 40 hours a week, deprived from fundamentals rights such as freedom and privacy. You will spend most of your time there, the most fertile and productive hours, surrounded by those who are your true family."

A picture of a picture of a pain: World Press Photo 16

Douma's Children, General News 2nd Prize Stories for World Press Photo 2016 Contest: August 24, 2015, Douma, Syria. A man cradles the body of his daughter, killed in an air raid. Picture taken by Abd Doumany.

Her body still looks languid; I guess she just died in that very moment. I wonder how far they were from each other when it happened, father and daughter, the reason behind him being dry and clean and the red and the ulcers covering her petite limbs when it should be the other way around, just because it requires too much of an effort of cruelty to take the purity away from a child. In spite of the blood, the atrocity, the crime against life, nature, love and justice, in spite of what it is, there is nothing but composure and dignity in the image. No desperation, no agony, no delirious cry of pain, no nothing, not a single enraged display of emotion that may awaken discomfort, guilt or repulsion in the beholder, but quite the contrary; look at the picture for long enough and you'll find yourself trapped in its misplaced serenity. There's a bold attempt of inner warmth, a commitment to an infinite tenderness and a peaceful fight against its own visual irony, in a very precise second in time where rhetoric sounds even futuristic and unprofitable.

Auf Kosten der Gesundheit Teil Drei

Found the dead body of an unpaired woollen sock, 15.5 UK size (not so sure if it's actually a sock, kind of difficult to determine with certainty due to it having a face) like a month ago when I dropped from the wrong bus in Mundsburger Brücke, the second widest bridge in Hohenfelde just surpassed by the distance between me and Dolly Parton ever being friends and swapping clothes regularly. This endearingly creepy homemade ghost was delicately hanging from a street sign because some hopeless German person put it up there, probably due to various reasons, usually Jägermeister. I'd really like to meet him or her and tell him or her to get his or her shit together and start asking around in independent art galleries like normal people do because not everybody can be Banksy and street art is so 2009 anyway. I doubt that I'll ever get the chance to do so because rumour has it that Germans don't fancy being randomly incriminated by strangers. But the public, heartless hanging of this non-living half of a knitted object looked like the most disturbing, well-meaning thing I saw that day. One can never be thankful enough for the quietness and the disobedience.
